Families & Inclusion
We believe that families are the main teachers in a child’s life and encourage input and collaboration to enhance these relationships for the child’s future. We will communicate in a respective and inclusive manner, where all families are supported to participate in our service.
Communication
We encourage open communication with all stakeholders allowing children and families to contribute to everyday activities. Educators will share aspects of your child’s day and learning journey regularly in accessible ways.
Environment
We believe in providing a safe secure and nurturing environment for all children to facilitate their learning, development and understanding of the world around them. We recognise and value the children’s involvement in creating a sustainable environment, demonstrating respect and care for our natural surrounds.
Children
We believe in building strong and supportive connections with every child, always ensuring their safety and wellbeing while promoting their sense of belonging and showing our respect for their individuality and growth. Our aim is to give children autonomy over their own learning by allowing them to engage in uninterrupted play.
Our Educators
Our educators are an important part of our service. They are committed to engaging in on-going professional development ensuring the provision of a safe and high-quality learning environment that enhances all aspects of your child’s day.
Education
We believe in creating an educational learning environment that follows the approved learning framework, using play-based learning activities for children to learn and development skills for the future. Our educators create an authentic program planning, implementing, and reflecting based on child led input.
Community
At Treasure Island, we believe in creating an environment that includes our local community to build the sense of belonging and support for all families and children. Connections are built through our involvement in the community as we engage in excursions/incursions.
